Grading Categories Part I

Organinzing the PowerTeacher Grade Book

If you plan to sync your courses between Schoology and PowerTeacher Pro, you will want to create categories in both grade books first.

Learning  Goal:

You will learn about grading purposes and connect them to your own grading practices.

​

Objectives:

  • You will learn how to set grading categories in PTP.

  • You will learn about grading purposes.

  • You will apply new thinking about  grading purposes to your own grading practice. 

​

Purpose:

The purpose of this activity is to develop grading categories that will sync between grade books while reflecting on individual grading practices.

​Setting up Grading Categories in PTP

​

  1. In PowerTeacher Pro, select "Grading" in the left column.

  2. Click "Categories"

  3. At the top  of the page, click "Create.

  4. Select "Category".

  5. Name the category and select your other preferences such as color. If you would like to be used in other classes, you can select those classes in this box.

  6. Click "Save".
