Grading Categories Part I

Organinzing the Schoology Grade Book

Due on: August 30th

If you plan to sync your courses between Schoology and PowerTeacher Pro, you will want to create categories in both grade books first.

Learning  Goal:

You will be able to create categories in your Schoology grade book.

​

Objectives:

  • You will learn how to access "Grade Setup" page.

  • You will learn how to create categories in an assignment and in the Grade Setup page.

​

Purpose:

Setting up categories is the first step in being able to sync your gradebooks. 

​

​Steps  for Creating Categories in Grade Setup
​
  1. Open the "Grade Setup" Tab.
  2. In the categories section, click on the "Add" button.
  3. Type in the category name. 
  4. Click "Create".
​

Steps for Creating Categories in an assignment:
​
  1. In your materials folder create the assignment, test, etc.
  2. Add your assignment information.
  3. In the Category field, select "Create New Grading Category".
  4. Type in your category name.
  5. Click "Create".
​

The Building Tech Reps will be in the Library Media Center on August 30th from 11-12 to check courses and help teachers with specific concerns.
